Book Your Taster Lesson
Choose a time that suits you below and it's held for you — Dr. XinRu will then email you the payment details herself, and your place is confirmed as soon as the taster fee is paid.
60-minute Taster · £80 — for ages 8+, teenagers and adults, including returners coming back after a break and exam candidates. A full hour is enough to hear you play, place you properly, and start something together.
- Your place is confirmed once the £80 is paid. Dr. XinRu emails you the payment details herself, usually the same day — so choosing a time is step one, and paying is what makes it yours. This is a small home studio with only a handful of taster times, and this is how she makes sure the one you chose is still there when you arrive.
- Is your child between 4 and 8? Then half an hour is usually the right length for a first lesson — a little one does their best listening in the first thirty minutes. The calendar above only holds the full hour, so write to Dr. XinRu and she'll arrange a 30-minute taster with you directly.
- After the taster you'll know exactly where you stand. She'll tell you what she heard, what you or your child is ready for, and what the next step would look like. Then you decide — there's no obligation to carry on.

The calendar shows every time that is currently free — openings are limited. A reminder is sent before your lesson. Dr. XinRu Chen holds an enhanced DBS check.
